Fioricet Question

For those of you who have taken (or are taking) Fioricet during pregnancy, how often do you take it? My migraines have gotten worse, or they seem that way since I can’t take my normal meds, Zomig & Soma. I’m 14 weeks pregnant and I’m concerned about taking too much of this med.

My Dr. originally gave me Lortab and that seemed to make them much worse - to the point I am in tears. Last week she prescribed Fioricet. I took 2 six hours apart on Friday and last night I took 2 about 9 hours apart. I have another migraine today. They just don’t seem to be letting up right now! I need to take another, but I’m concerned about how much I can take without causing any harm.

I’m wondering what everyone’s experience has been with this medicine and how often you had to take it.

Thanks in advance!

Drugs in general can create harm, have you ever read all of the side effects? All of them have a long list. Chemicals do not belong in the body and over time they build up whether pregnant or not.

Have you ever addressed the root of your migraines? You need to find out what is causing them, instead of just treating the symptoms which is the migraine with drugs.

I don’t really have migraines, but when I do get headaches, I mix a drop or two of peppermint essential oil with some water and dip my fingers into the mixtures and massage it into my temples and the base of my neck.

I will often take a warm bath with peppermint oil added to it and use a massage ball on the back of my neck. This always cures my headaches, so maybe it can at least help relieve yours.

Have you ever looked into accupunture or seen a holistic or naturopathic doctor about your problem? They treat the root, not the symptoms.
